Objective:
Bring young women from Seymour and surrounding high schools together in order to promote community service and philanthropy, raise awareness for Girls Inc., and have fun.
Fundraisers:
Will benefit the “Teen Board” account. The money in the account will be used for and by the members of Teen Board.
- Goal for members is to have put more money into the account when she leaves then was there when she started.
- The money in the budget will be used for the members of the group and by the members, but will have to clear the spending with Allison.
Team Building Activities:
Are intended to bring the members of the two groups (Teen Council and Teen Board) together and strengthen the relationship with their peers. These activities may include, but are not limited to lock-ins, movie nights, and pizza parties.
Community Service Projects and Philanthropy Projects :
Are intended to better the Seymour community and also get Girls Inc. out in the public more.
Everything that Teen Board does will be thought of, implemented by, and see through by the members. By participating in this program at Girls Inc. of Jackson County girls will have fun with others their age and they will have the opportunity to gain volunteer hours. Girls Inc. offers many national and local scholarship opportunities for qualified members of the program.
Teen Board offers girls the chance to make a difference in the lives of others in the community.
